**I need a program developed to aid in the teaching of the principles of geometrical optics to first year students. The program should include:
1. **Image formation using lenses and mirrors
**The user is to specify
* The type of device (lens or mirror, convex or concave) to use
* The object distance from the focus
* The object siz
The program should calculate the image distance and size and display the setup to scale
(A JAVA representation of a similar program exists at the following address: <[url removed, login to view]>The program should also give the option to view mirrors like this one.)
2. **Refraction at a plane surface
**The user is to specify
* The refractive indexes of the 2 media
* The angle of incidenc
The program should calculate the angle of refraction and show the incident and refracted rays with the correct angles
(A JAVA representation of a similar program exists at the following address: <[url removed, login to view]>The user should be able to enter the angle of incidence also)
3. **Refraction through a 60 degree prism
**The user is to specify
* The refractive indexes of the 2 media
* The angle of incidence
The program should calculate the relevant angles and show the path of the light through the prism

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in VB6 executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
4) All parts of the program will have visual graphics which can be dragged or areas for values to be entered so that the user will see the correct animation which will correspond to the correct mathematical position.
5) The program should operate in a similar way to the JAVA programs provided in the description field above. Except for parts 2 and 3 which should give the user the option to enter the refractive indexes of the both materials used and the angle of incidence and calculate the correct answers and animations (graphics)
