An online bookshop, with the back-end being the shops storefront, which the staff use in the shops.
STOREFRONT REQUIREMENTS:
- the system should be able to provide any information at any time, for example, books sold, stock count, etc
- this is the shops Point of Sale, where the sales/payments are made
WEBSITE REQUIREMENTS:
- A member has to login to specify access to the purchasing section on the site
NON_REGISTERED USERS:
- can view the book, music and video lists but cannot purchase them
- can search for a specific product (book, music, video) or browse categories but cannot purchase an item
REGISTERED USERS:
Users will register online through the website so they will have access to the purchasing features, ( as well as the features available to the non-registered users).
- Store and Edit their profile details (email address etc)
- Can place items in a shopping basket
- Their own wish list, containing items they’d like to buy in the future
- View their past purchases
All database schema will be part of the deliverables.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
