A program (python prefered) to check for contact information from an list of images

Hi, my website allows every user to upload a personal profile image.
I need a simple program to automatically detect/recognize any contact information embedded in the image.
Requirement:
From an given image, the program will try to detect: 1. QR code within the image; 2. Any text (English) in the image.
which contain a given list of keyword (Email, Telephone/Tel, Skype, Facebook, LinkedIn etc).
Deliverable :
0. I am okay with any pre-compiled 3rd party computer vision library (opencv?), as long as it works on ubuntu 64bits.
1. A python program is preferred. But other language such as C++ is acceptable, as long as it is easy to build/compile.
2. All source code and binaries (for 3rd party/open source projects).
