basic changes to a Visual Basic color matching program

I need someone to make a few changes to a Visual Basic program. The program does color matching for web and graphic designers, you can download a demo of it here: [url removed, login to view]

The program currently has a few bugs, here is what I need done:

1. Version number needs to be changed to 2.5

2. Activation scheme has a few bugs:

Bug #1: Sometimes an activation key will not work for a user

Bug #2: When a user activates the software successfully, they have to re-enter their product key every time they reopen the software

I would like someone to just write a new activation scheme, just some sort of protection for the program so I can offer a 15 day full-featured demo of the software. I would also like this activation scheme to be somewhat difficult to crack.

I have all of the source code files in Visual Basic, I need someone who is experienced and fast, I would like this done in a few days.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
