This is a project to help develop a website about Ethnography and Design Ethnography that is based in latest versions of movabletype and mediawiki. both applications are already installed at [url removed, login to view] . I'm looking for basic graphic design, template development in CSS, integration of RSS feeds, and ad words. One of the issues I'm having is making sure all the templates in my movable type site look the same so that visitors have consistent navigation elements throughout the entire site experience. Website will consist of following elements: *home page that is a movable type blog, *a wiki that must be set up to allow users to contribute and edit. *A news section that is updated using RSS feeds from major publications. *A calendar that users can contribute conferences and events of interest to the larger community. *A user discussion forum. *An online store area with connections to Amazon books. *A user account a sign in to be able to contribute to the forum and calendar section. I'm currently seeing this as a three column screen with a banner on the top saying [url removed, login to view], also inside the banner is scrolling text that represents the headlines from the rss news section. Below the banner are tabs for navigation, going from left to right: “Home and Blog??, “Ethnowiki??, “News??, “Conference Calendar??, “Forums??, “accounts??. On the left-hand side is a column that is the standard movable type navigation. The right-hand column will be for advertising, such as Google ad words.
