Design an elegant logo based on initials

Hi designers,
I need somebody to design a simple logo for a private startup. The logo should consist of the to initials "J" and "T". Those two letters should be fused together in a nice elegant way. The color should be some kind of not-too-light orange.
The logo should be designed in Adobe Illustrator (Illustrator files need to be provided).
Attached you can find a first (not really satisfying) example on the basic idea (Further work needed!!!).
The logo should be clear and without superfine details and without hard corners (see attached file).
