We have a project developed with Cocoa on a Mac in C++ with Safari browser embedded in the application using Webkit. Sample of the code can be downloaded at [url removed, login to view]

The application creates tabs like the Safari browser.

Issue 1:

When any Flash object (such as a youtube video) is loaded on one tab and then the user switches to another tab, the Flash object "stops" and then restarts when returning to that original tab.

Example:

Open 2 tabs

Leave tab 2 as "blank" or load any other webpage, it doesn't matter

Load a youtube video in tab 1

After the video starts playing, switch to tab 2.

Video from tab 1 "stops" and can no longer be heard

Switch back to tab 1 and video starts over from beginning.

This happens with any site such as MetaCafe, or any other site with any Flash object. It appears the tab does not stay "alive" when focus is switched and then "reloads" when returning to the tab, but that may just be "appearance"

Issue 2:

We would like to have the "title" of the webpage appear in the tab name as it does in Safari (limited to x characters). And if no title is available, display the first part of the URL.

We will provide a sample working code of our project (ABOVE). The developer must return the code working properly and identify the changes that were made to do so. Expected time: less than 7 days
