<Technology Description>
This technology is designed to display guidance indicators on the in-car display to guide the vehicle's course changes while reducing the annoyance felt by the driver. One problem when displaying guidance indicators on the in-car display visible from the driver's seat is that the driver may find the display content annoying when the guidance indicators overlap with the road ahead of the vehicle. To solve this problem, this technology displays guidance indicators on the side of the road ahead if the driver cannot see it. If the driver can see the road ahead, the guidance indicators are displayed on the side of the road where the vehicle is currently driving. Furthermore, this technology changes whether to display the guidance indicators on the near side or the far side of the intersection visible to the driver, depending on whether the vehicle is turning left or right to proceed to the road ahead.
