Hello, my name is Nishitha Chowta , and I am looking for a talented Technical Artist to work on a project of our company Juego Studio Pvt Ltd. I'm looking for someone who is highly experienced in Unity.
Below is the detailed JD for your reference.
Development
Good knowledge of unity rendering technique.
Knowledge of various unity rendering components mesh, sprite, skinned mesh renderer etc.
Knowledge of unity file support.
Knowledge of unity file handling. Basically how unity handles the FBX, PNG and other graphics files.
Mesh poly management for unity.
Knowledge of shader programming, shaders passes and writing a well-optimized shader for mobile devices.
Good knowledge lighting in unity and how they take memory and performance.
Knowledge of backed light, real-time light and mixed lighting techniques.
Knowledge of Post Processing Effect and image effect in unity
Knowledge of unity particle system and particle animator.
Good knowledge working of RAM, CPU and GPU.
Candidate must have the ability to work as a liaison between art and technical team.
Art Requirements
Strong portfolio demonstrating technical art skills and output achieved in Unity or Unreal
7+ years experience as a Technical Artist (within game development)
Experience working on shipped 3D and 2D game titles for mobile and PC/Console
Intermediate to advance technical knowledge in quality check, integration, optimistaion of assets like 3D models, textures, 3D & 2D Animations, Blendshapes, Rigs, 2D UI art and particle effects.
Stays updated on the latest industry trends and techniques related to performance monitoring and optimization
Should be creative and artistic in setting the visual standard for any game at runtime and can set the workflow process for creating assets to achieve that look
Experience creating tools/scripts to assist in game development and maintenance
Self-motivated, excellent work ethic, enjoys collaboration
Stoked on problem-solving
Strong knowledge of art creation softwares like Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Designer is a plus
Responsibilities
Prototyping for any new project using existing or new assets to achieve the desired output in terms of look and optimisation
Plan and suggest the workflow needed for art during project planning phase of any new project
Day to Day problem solving between different departments to figure out solutions to any technical problem and give concrete steps to fix it
Handle the art asset integration for 3D & 2D
Create realtime/baked lighting for any type of game.
Research, develop, and maintain lighting, skybox, terrain, and foliage pipelines
Collaborate with artists, designers, engineers, etc. to optimize game assets, materials, shaders, and rendering techniques
Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and techniques
Provide guidance/recommendations to the team on the best practices for maintaining performance and reducing workload for other teams
Creating custom shaders and strong understanding of shader graph
Handle blendshapes integration and animations with proper blending.
Handle camera and cinematic animations for games
Identify performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other issues that impact gameplay experience
Develop/implement performance optimization strategies to improve frame rates, load times, and overall game performance
Write custom tools/scripts to automate pipeline tasks
