Setting is barbarian time period. A small village near the ocean.

A man is walking up a hill in the morning. As he comes to the top of the hill and looks all around him until his eyes follow on a fleet of invading ships. His head slowly goes down and his eyes close in preparation for what he knows he needs to do. His eyes snap open and he runs down the hill toward the village. He walks into the village and begins to get the men ready for battle. He puts on his own armor and then heads home to get his wife to safety. He leads her away to a cave away from the village. He then goes to launch a small fleet of boats of their own but the boats are quickly destroyed. Cut between the husband giving orders to prepare men for battle as he sees the enemy coming closer and the wife leaving the cave to return home, opens a trap door to reveal armor of her own. She puts on the armor then slowly walks through the men to reach the front line with her husband. They sorrowfully look at each other and he nods. As the enemy approaches the both draw their swords and rush the enemy, They are seen fighting back to back as all the other villagers are slaughtered. They kill many of the enemy but the enemy overwhelms them and the last shot is the camera lingering on the husband and wife's bloody bodies, hands reaching towards each other, fingertips touching.
