We have ten thousand RTF documents that need an automated reformatting tool to allow a small amount of information to be inserted into a header which is derived from a template and a new RTF document created.
We need a disktop utitlity that will be able to point to a user specified directory which has lots of RTF documents in it. The utility will alsp point to a specific refernce RTF template.
Once started the utility will take all documents in the directory and insert the content into the template document body (after the end of a protected section) and also search the text for a pre-defined value and insert that value into the header. Then save the new RTF with the same name in the same directory.
The utility would move the succesfully modified documents into a user defined sub directory. The utility would move any documents that could not be succesfuly modified to anther user specified directory.
The utility will declare:
1. Processing X of Y documents
2. X documents succesfuly processed
3. X documents unable to be processed
