Title: Seeking Robotics Engineer to Complete Tomato-Picking Robot Arm Project
Description:
We are looking for a skilled robotics engineer to complete a tomato-picking robot arm project. We have a robot arm and its components ready, including 3 NEMA 17 stepper motors, 2 SG90 servo motors, a Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB), and an A4988 motor driver. The goal is to integrate a vision system (YOLO v8) for tomato detection and develop code to move the robot arm to the detected tomato position for picking.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Integrate the vision system code with the robot arm to accurately detect tomatoes.
2. Develop code to control the robot arm and move it to the detected tomato position.
3. Complete setup and wiring connection of the robot arm components.
4. Ensure seamless communication between the Raspberry Pi and the motor driver.
Requirements:
1. Strong background in robotics engineering.
2. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
3. Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar robotics frameworks.
4. Familiarity with computer vision techniques, especially object detection.
5. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
