Create Update script mysql database for php page

Need a update script for a mysql database
need to search though table 1 and if a certain field is empty then it should collect data from table 2 based on value from one field in table 1 and insert in that empty fields for that row ( it is 2 fields that should be updated with values from table 2 )
So really basic just need a php page where i can just have a button and when click it should do the update on the database
