Simple PHP script to read document word count

I need a simple PHP script with the following functionality:

1) user uploads file (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .txt, .rtf)

2) PHP script reads file

3) Word count is provided on same page as upload form WITHOUT reloading, so some sort of AJAX or javascript is required.

4) uploaded file saved on server and emailed to the email address user provides on form, with the word count specified in the email.

Milestone payment only to be made when .doc and .docx support is demonstrated.
