I have written an Access 2000 mdb program and want to convert (forms and code modules) to Visual Basic 6.0 and replace the existing Access 2000 database with SQL (MSDE 2000). The program (xyz) uses Access 2000 as a backend database (on the local machine) and synchronizes whenever the program loads with data uploaded to a SQL database on the Central-Server, hence an ODBC connection is made when the program (xyz) loads to the Central-Server and data is exchanged between the Central-Server SQL database and the local Access 2000 database. I want the program's backend database to be MSDE 2000 and to convert existing forms and modules from Access 2000 to VB 6.0. Also, I would like to create ASP web pages that will mirror the xyz program on the web (the client would be able to log onto the Internet and go to the address and there migrate through pages just as if he were using his local xyz program on the local computer ... only, in fact, the client would be running my web ASP pages and entering directly into the Central-Server. Functionality regarding this dual application feature and instituting a synchronization of data with the local backend database are operable in the existing xyz program. The project would involve: 1. re-creating the data entry forms in the VB development interface; and designing/develping ASP web pages 2. re-creating the reports in native Microsoft Word format; or an add on Report Writer 3. replacing the older DAO code with the appropriate ADO code consistent with the current version of the Microsoft Data Access Components package (MDAC 2.7 RTM) 4. replacing the use of DAO TableDefs with ADOX objects. 5. converting VBA Code Modules to VB code modules. 6. ensure compatibility with, and proper data transfer to, the Cental-Server database. 7. system testing of the VB application and WEB pages The current working program is available to download to run on your local machine; but the web interface I refer to above is not.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. GOOD DOCUMENTATION IS A MUST! 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platforms of Windows 98, 2000, XP. Web pages must be complete and located on the Server provided and functioning as the standalone program. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
