I need an app from my iphone that I can use to take field notes on botanical surveys for work. The software needs to have an .csv or related spreadsheet output that I can download onto Excel on my laptop. The fields that I need to enter data into include 1) one field where I can pull data from a preexisting (editable?) database of plant names, which enters plant names and associated fields (wetness, consv. value, etc) into the table, 2) a field in which I can link to my camera and add a photo file to the table, 3) a field that records my geo-coordinates where I am standing at the time of the entry (separate from the photo geo-tag), 4) a comment field, 5) 2-3 other possible fields.

Is it acceptable to do it as a cloud app, ie to run it on a server and access within a browser? It would be easier to maintain and could be used from more devices/users.
