Change Rails Project Download Link from CSV to XLSX Format

I need help formatting a download link to XLSX format. It's currently working in csv format. I've been trying to use the gem 'acts_as_xlsx', but I'm getting no method errors. I'm open to trying another gem, but it seems like this one is close to working.

I'm unable to share the source code, so we will need to do a live screencast to complete the task.
