Custom Wordpress Loop To Show Categories

I am wanting to create a WordPress loop that would show various categories by ID number.
I want it to look like this link ([url removed, login to view]).
The loop will need to allow me to choose their order by category ID. For example, I may want to have category ID #2 to be on the top and then show category ID #9 next, then show category ID #1 next.
There will be four category loops:
The first will display the post title, post date, and the post excerpt.
The second will display the post title and a custom field (which will be the event-date).
The third will display a feature image thumbnail and post title.
The fourth will display a feature image thumbnail, post title, post date and post excerpt.
