Custom Exposed filter in view with 'node comment' parent child relationship - repost

My Drupal ver 6 website implements nodecomments. Each comment/replies are tagged with one of the two taxonomy terms (Good idea / Bad Idea) by the user while posting or replying.
In the node view page (nodecomment view) i need an exposed filter so that i can filter the comments with the term id 'Good idea or Bad idea'.
But the specific requirement here is
WHEN I FILTER WITH A TERM SAY 'GOOD IDEA' THEN THE PARENT OF THAT COMMENT HAS TO SHOW NO MATTER WHAT TERM IS ASSOCIATED WITH IT (EVEN IT IS BAD IDEA) BUT THE REPLIES IN THE SAME LEVEL HAS TO BE FILTERED AS PER THE FILTERING CRITERIA.
