Triphop is a mobile app that provides bus timetable and route information to commuters in Wellington, NZ
Key features:
• Show bus stops on a map based on the user’s current location
• Show a list of bus numbers and real time arrival info when the user clicks on a stop
• Show bus’s time table when click on a bus
• Draws the bus route on the map when the user clicks on a bus number (routes are defined by bus number)
• If the source bus information provide is slow to respond, the app can show the cached bus station info while waiting for the real time information
• The user can swipe to open an About page, including contact us, terms condition, and etc
• This app is currently fully functional on the IOS platform. The design, user interaction and animation should follow iOS TripHop app
Key technologies:
• Android map
• Android Gps service
• Restful API
All the data comes from a server using JSON format.
Api includes:
Search nearby bus station basing on GPS
Get bus station info (bus list with real time info, station name)
Get bus time table
Get bus route
• Local database storage to cache bus station / bus list for user experience.
• Google Analytic Integration

Approximate 50% of the Android project source code has been written, including the functions:
Show nearby bus stations on the map
Click bus station to open the station info and bus list with real time info
