![][1] I need to gather heart rate, GSR (galvanic skin response, or

skin conductance) and blood pressure changes on people. Similar to polygraph, or "lie detector" but will be used to gather physiological changes in test subjects during the viewing of video footage. (To measure interest)

My idea was to use a MSP430 chip ([link][2]) from Texas Industries, and add to it, so I can keep the USB connection and data through COM port on PC. They are inexpensive and I think they would be able to handle the processing. I am a software guy, so hardware is out of my reach.

I have found the following for heart rate by IR (similar to what they use in hospitals) [circuit link][3]

Skin conductance should be pretty straight forward - [circuit link][4]

Blood pressure seems to be harder since you need a cuff, that inflates then deflates to take the measurement. This can be optional but if you have a good idea how to do it lets talk!

I would like circuit to be able to communicate with Windows PC. Several of these devices need to work at one time (up to 20), so a virtual COM port that I can query in my software would be best. I imagine a "sentence" similar to NMEA (GPS) data being sent from the sensor, and my software can just parse it to get data.

I can provide a MSP430, and would depend on you to come up with the rest of the circuit, and the actual software (sketch?) on device. After the initial development, you should have detailed PCB files, and a full shopping list, or we can talk about you manufacturing 20 of these devices for now.

I have no idea what such a circuit would cost to develop, so I just threw out a number. If you are able to get this to work (and extra bonus for blood pressure) talk to me!
