Contest Brief

Redesign papazack dot com into a wordpress site (no coding, just PSD). FULL CREATIVE FREEDOM!

To existing site, add a blog and make blog prominent, Also add a newsletter signup area prominent on the home page. The purpose of the site is to add people to the newsletter and also to increase subscribers to the youtube channel.

Papa zack is starting a cooking show on youtube and needs entries in his blog about that. There is no content on his existing site from his cooking show, but you could make a mockup using any video. He also needs a category where he gives his opinion about what products and services are the best.

This is in addition to all the content that's already on his website right now. So feel free to reuse all text and pictures on his website. The content areas need to remain on his new website. How you reorganize it is up to you, you have full freedom.

I will create a separate contest for the logo. You can use a placeholder logo for now. Don't spend your time designing his logo. I hope to add his logo to this contest before it's over, so you can update your page designs with the logo. I think for the logo we'll go with something simple like the words papa zack in some kind of font. Perhaps red color for the logo. That gives you some idea in terms of probable style.

Please start by making only one mockup of the home page until I say that I like your work. If you are a serious "finalist" I will ask you to show me your designs for the other pages. You will deliver the cleaned-up PSD files so that I can hand it to my coders who will turn it into a wordpress site.

  I care about clean lines, clear fonts, consistent use of color palette and clear navigation. Conversion elements need to be prominent, such as newsletter signup and social connect.

Let's shake up the competition a bit with some inspiration. I like flat design, material design. So far #7 had the clean lines that I like.
