Re-design a logotype

Contest Brief

I want a remake of this design, or if you have a better idea an all new logo. I want a bold but MINIMALISTIC text logo with one font and font size as I will use the same style for other texts in the future and a MINIMALISTIC symbol that can be used separately. The symbol here is a world globe with the islands creating a skull, but I want it more simple (the skull should be very subtle and the globe should be the first thing you see) or if you have any ideas please let me know.

I want it more MINIMALISTIC and make more use of the negative space around the letters to make it more aligned and make the icon more SIMPLE, SUBTLE and MINIMALISTIC. I'm not sure if uppercase or lowercase letters are best, please feel free to try both. I prefer the font Qanelas Soft as it's minimalistic but bold and I need a font thats free for commercial use as I will do more prints with other texts but same style. The logo will be used for website and print for t-shirts.

I'm looking for a longterm designer for future prints with the same style, also if you need more info regarding what I'm looking for please let me know.

  because no one has made the logo more minimalistic nor changed the icon, everyone has just made more cluttered versions of the old logo.
