Contest Brief

PAIR OF STYLISH MUSIC POSTERS, 24" x 36". You'll style two posters based very much on the two shown in the document. This context is about FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS, mostly. Design yours very closely to what is shown. You can be creative, use a different font (the same one on BOTH your posters) and some slightly different colors (but be consistent across BOTH your posters--these are like a matching PAIR). You do not have to fill in the exact musical notes and theory. We will do that in the winner's Adobe source files. As for the detailed musical notes and theory in the posters....Focus on what the briefing document says in our guidelines. This is about really good typesetting, color choices, layout, accuracy. This is about solid design. We can correct the music notes later, but not the design of the guitar or layout of your circles and choice of colors. FYI, the two attached files are the same exact thing. One is PowerPoint, if that helps you. The other is PDF if you do not have PowerPoint. Remember, the winner's file MUST be in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator or something we can edit. Good luck! BTW.......Those who COPY previous entrants--surefire way to NOT win. Just do YOUR best work. Don't copy the previous person's work. It'll get you tossed out.

    There was question on contest prize and scope. Contest prize is US$200.00 for the pair, to be in shape up to the point of putting in the type for the musical notes/final copy. Likely, the winning design will need some additional work, and payment for that work will be decided fairly with the winner. We do not have unfair expectations for perfection from the winning entry. We have expectation for a well-executed winning pair of designs that show the winner can complete the poster to be ready for professional completion and production-ready. Thanks!

    1. Be sure to include the notes and loops around them on the fretboard of the Guitar poster.
    2. Try to use the text in the poster or some Greek text, if you can't read it all where there are paragraphs, so we know how it will typeset.
    3. If you already submitted without the above, we understand. You don't need to resubmit. Just trying to help, and we can look past those details. If you win, we will ask you to finish those pieces in the file. We will complete the other more detailed musical notation ourselves.

      It was posted, then we updated and re-posted right after posting the project. Try checking the listing again. There are two docs there, both are same thing in two formats depending on which one you can open.
