Contest Brief

Dear Freelancer,

We are in need of a logo for our new firearm retail stores across Australia. Please see below the marketing info:

Mission statement
HST retails, distributes and manufactures firearms, ammunition and accessories, as well as provides training, coaching and experiences in Australia through superior buying power, modern retail practices and cutting-edge analytics.

Brand Identity
Brand identity must have:
• Memorability; Easily recognised and recalled
• Meaningfulness; Descriptive and persuasive
• Likeability: fun and interesting; rich visual and verbal imagery
• Transferability; within and across product categories, across geographical and cultural boundaries within the English-speaking world
• Adaptability; flexible and updatable
• Protectability; legally and competitively protectable

Brand positioning
Moderate experienced, men from 18 to 55 years old within 60 kms of our store with any budget interested in long arm firearms. When you shop at HST instead of other stores you will receive more knowledgeable advice, one stop shop for all your shooting needs, fair dinkum prices and an opportunity to be more involved in your local shooting community.

Do and don'ts:
Does:
The logo needs to be based on HST which stands for Hunting, Shooting Tactical which is also displayed on the front of the shops. See BCF.com.au as an example.

Don'ts:
No camoflage
No gun images or grafics

The contest includes:
the logo, favicon and specified font and colours

This is a great opportunity to leave your mark on the Australian gun industry!

    The slogan is something in the line of "Shooting your way" or " Enjoy the shoot you love" or similar, what we need to accomplish is to have shooters as a whole like our branding, not hunters or target shooters separately. Also shooting is a lifestyle as it is a hobby for most. So making it a lifestyle or recreational sport in the logo if we can would be great. Thank you

    A couple of things we may not have mentioned. Hunting shooting tactical's main customers are 18-55-year-old male who hunt and/or compete in Olympic shooting diciplines.
