Contest Brief

I'm currently writing an ebook and need some illustrations for some of the characters. This project is a for 3 test illustrations and if you're successful please make sure you have time to provide additional illustrations over the next week.

Ideally, you'd produce 3 illustrations for the 3 different characters, please use a pastel background 'blob' for each of them and please provide a png, jpg and source file for each. I've attached some references images that I like the look of. Please note that each of the illustrations should be line images (so hollow - not filled in) and if they embody the descriptions that I have below that would be great. Overall I want the characters to be a little 'soft' - so think of Lion King/Jungle Book style.

- Slinky the Snake: Slinky is a devious snake and he's there to catch the reader out. His pastel colours are orange/red and he's always up to no good. He's always setting up traps in the jungle for the reader.
- Max the Gorilla: Max stays up in the jungle and is always looking out for the reader. His pastel colours are green. He's a wise old guerilla and has been around the jungle a few times and wants to try and help the reader not fall into Slinky's traps.
- Reader the Panther: Reader the panther is a newborn/teenage panther that is trying to find its way around the jungle. He knows a little bit of the world but is still pretty naive. They start out a little child-like but end up being a strong and mature hunter of the jungle. Its pastel colour is purple/blue.

I'm happy putting up the full number of illustrations required (around 13), in which case I can increase the award to around $200 but I feel that then requires artists to take on more risk (time) whereas this hopefully means less risk. Let me know your preference and I can create a different post otherwise.

Sorry but based on your description I don't think you get how this site works. We can't submit different file types until AFTER a winner has been chosen. We can only post an image for you to assess. The winner will then send whatever files you want. Also if your competition receives low entries it is because the amount of work needed for this is far beyond the price you are offering! People will just submit stolen artworks from online.

I understand that - I just wanted to make sure artists were aware of the files I need before entering.
