Contest Brief

I need a logo and a building sign for our new Day Spa. The name of the business is INSPIRE DAY SPA

We are a Day Spa that offers facials and massage. We are located by a small suburban lake surrounded by a few homes and trees (SEE ATTACHED - This picture was taken directly from the relaxation room in our Spa) There is a bike path around this lake to walk, roller blade, bike etc.

The design will go in front of the building attached with dimensions available for sign shown. We would like to use as much height as possible for the name of the business.

Ideally, the winning design needs to encompass our name, our line of business and our location (by the lake) either with text or graphics. Our differentiator will be our location, next to a small lake with a relaxation room overlooking the lake. Our guests will enjoy the water view, a bike path, trees, people walking, fishing etc while they wait for their treatment.

We will need a logo design that can be used for a building sign as well as online for Facebook or Instagram. A larger design more horizontal can be used for the building. A more circular or square version (logon part of design) could be used online.

We will accept two designs with the same concept/content. Design #1 could be a square or round design good for profile pictures etc. Design #2 could be a longer version of the same design good for webpage header, building sign, banner etc... SEE ATTACHED for a potential sample.

We will need a PSD and AI vector file delivered as well as a transparent gif file in 2-3 colors.

The design should focus on 3 areas and capture this via text, graphics or both:

The name (Inspire)
Our services (Day Spa offering facials and massage)
Our location (by the lake)

The successful design will work in black and white as well as color. It will scale well up or down. It will be web-friendly, simple, memorable and convey class. It must also be relevant to the business. The final design when used as a building sign will be backlit. This design or a portion of it (logo part) must be Facebook and Instagram friendly that can be used as profile picture etc.

We welcome a combination of letters and graphics to capture the essense of our business. If any graphics are used, please explain its meaning.
