Contest Brief

Hello designers,

Needed: Newly designed Facebook Banner and Business Cards.

My business is entertainment music cruises. Design needs to be music-related *and* cruise-related.

I like white or very light backgrounds; no dark backgrounds please.

If you wish to use ocean water for a background, only light blue clear tropical water please; no deep blues.

No headphones, turntables, radio or electronic equipment, etc. as these cruises do not have that kind of music.

You can see the navigation menu on my website at cruises.soulatsea.com to get a feel for the kind of "older" type music these cruises have.

Business card does not need to match the same design but should have same feel, colors and flavor as the Facebook banner.

Business card needs to be clear, clean, crisp and easy to read -- can be one-sided or two-sided or tent style; any type is fine.

My last biz card (attached) used tiny fonts; I could barely read my own card. Please do not use tiny fonts; my clients are mostly 55+.

I've attached a page of logos but use of my logo is totally optional -- depending on your vision of what the project should look like.

I wanted to list two separate contests but realize it's best to have the same person create both the banner and biz card in order to keep the same color scheme and feel between the two items.

Although my favorites so far are Entry #2 , #8 & #9 , I also like the curved look at the bottom of #5 & 6 -- kind of gives a "motion of the ocean" feel to it. You all have a good-eye and it will be difficult selecting one over the other. However, I still need to see a Facebook banner that appeals. The Facebook banner should combine the elements of music and a cruise -- maybe a ship with music coming from it and people dancing or a ship with music notes coming from the smokestack, instead of smoke, or maybe an ocean (light) background wtih a frame of musical instruments, or maybe an attractive listing of the cruises I sell, etc. Please keep in mind the following: http://thefinancialbrand.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/facebook_image_size_template.jpg

Hi Menaka1234: Thank you for your entry. While I like the NCL Jade ship, I do not want to advertise their name over anyone else's name. I need to have music represented, plus I prefer a lighter background. But I appreciate your time and effort.
