Contest Brief

Hi!

We would like two (2) separate web page mockups of a home page and an events page. We will need two designs. What they consist of and job specifications are explained below. When this contest is finished the selected winner will be hired with payment to design two additional pages; an events details page and profile page.

*Background*
We are a website that connects friends and people who want to eat together. Whether you have food at home home and want to share with friends/people to eat together or you find it troublesome to organise events we make eating with other people easier. Our current website requires a redesign. Similar websites that are similar to what we do are:
- www.vizeat.com
- www.eatwith.com

*General Comments*
- Our preference is to have a minimalistic design. While we understand that we have lots of information to input (event name, location, time, attendees, price etc) the best designs will be ones that show this information without making the page look cluttered. The detail matter; the rounding on corners, the font face, size, positioning etc. If your design is fantastic we will pay a bonus.
- We use a 960px width webpage with 12 columns
- We will not be providing any images or logos. Please source free to use, royalty and license free image to include in your design if you use them. You agree that the photos used by you are free from any copyright infringements or claims.
- We do not expect you to design a logo (we have one) but please leave an area on the mockup where you would ideally place the company logo with the words 'logo'. Please use a transparent layer.
- If selected as the winner we will want all original files original design file sent to us and all rights associated with the design handed over. By accepting this contest you agree to be bound and effect this term when this contest is over. We would prefer PSD photoshop files however you are free to choose the platform
- Please place your email address on the bottom right corner of the design should we require you for any other design work despite not winning this particular contest.

*Design 1: Events Page (Best practice: vizeat/eatwith)*
This is where we display all our food events that are in proximity to our users. What we would like is to have a design that summarises the information (event location, event photo, host, time, date, event name etc) into an easy to understand and visually appealing way. One design is through display of a map and another design is display by way of pictures. There is no preference. A map with pictures could be an option but please show us what minimalistic way can you present information that doesn't feel cluttered. There are two samples attached.

*Design 2: Home Page (Best practice: https://buffer.com/ with vizeat/eatwith)*
We would like a home page that focuses on getting users either signup/login or click to enter the events page (you will not need to login to see that events page). The top page fold (first viewable area once landed on page) should have a login/signup area on the top right and an FAQ link. What we expect is a hero image, a message area with an input box for them to input their address to sign up and logo at the top left. All of these can be changed if you feel best; it is not fixed. Below the page fold we will have an infographic of "how it works" and show numerous images of food and events.
