Contest Brief

I am creating a new app called "Trove". It is basically a database software application. I like the idea of associating the customer's data with "treasure", hence the name "Trove", as in "Treasure Trove". I would like to have a logo designed that fits this theme. I'd love the base design of the logo to be treasure chest of some kind.

I am open to creative interpretations of the theme. One idea I had was, an open treasure chest, but instead of gold coins in the treasure chest, have something that better illustrates "data" or a "database" coming out, like abstract network connections (glowing lines and dots), or maybe other computer-esque bits like documents, papers, disks, servers, etc.

Dimensions: Logo must be square aspect ratio (1:1), and also suitable for an "app icon", so I'm looking for a transparent PNG with alpha channel. The size should be at least 1024x1024 pixels, but larger and/or vector would be ideal.

Please note that I am ONLY looking for a logo icon. I do NOT want the title incorporated into the logo. Also, the logo should work well on both dark and light backgrounds (hence the alpha transparency).

PLEASE DO NOT:
(1) Do not submit the same logo multiple times. This will not help.
(2) Do not submit "sign on the wall" entries. I don't need to see my logo hanging on a wall.
(3) Do not submit the logo with a background, like textured paper. I want a transparent alpha PNG icon only. No background.

I've attached a sample image which is just a clip art treasure chest I found. Please do NOT use this image specifically (it's a bit too "cartoony"), but it should give you a general idea for what I am going for.
