Contest Brief

I'm building my own guitar at a professional luthiers workplace. Everything is fully to my own wishes since I started with a few blocks of wood that are fully manual cut, carved, sanded and shaped by me. So no excuses that something is not what I want.
But there are a few parts that I like to have (laser) engraved. On the back I have two covers in bronze. I've added example pictures of them from Gibson in the attachments.
And I have 4 buttons on the front that need a pointer. Added the real knob (22 mm diameter) photo and an example as used with Gretsch.
My question is, can you design well balanced engraving (possible 3D) set for these elements on the guitar.
My name is André Scholten, I'm Dutch, the guitar is build in 2020 by hand and I was born in 1967 so I outgrew things as skulls.
The guitar is based on a Les Paul model. Nearest model is https://reverb.com/item/23187046-gibson-les-paul-axcess-custom-namm-display-2019
The headstock I designed is also added in the appendices.
The guitar already has a name: Anastacia
And the reason to even start building the guitar and play it is: I like to get in connection with my creative side, since I'm a high intelligent person (mensa member) and my brain is very analytic. I love to play music just to leave that safe space of intelligence and to feel and feel more normal.
I'll try to answer questions swiftly.

So to be very specific, I'm looking for:
1 design for round backplate 2.5 mm thick, bronze
1 design for a four cornered backplate 2.5 mm thick, bronze
1 design for a pointer on a gold plated metal knob (Bridge volume, Neck volume, Master volume and Master Tone)

I started with my own design of a signature and uploaded the svg file. I would love to put "handcrafted", "the Netherlands", and "2020" on the edge of the circle. Not found how to do that in inkscape.
On the four cornered plate I reached out to Anastacia, since she fought cancer and inspired me to focus on music, after I lost my wife on cancer 25 years ago and she inspired me to live on. And my guitar will be a real rock beauty, so this guitar deserves to be dedicated to Anastacia (hence the name).

The designs are ok, I think it is me who has a difficult way explaining myself. I'm a "bad customer" who needs better understanding in describing what he wants. so don't feel offended. I'm too unexperienced in the design world. I'm to blame.

Hi André. You are not a bad customer at all, you are just an overthinker! ? My advice is to start playing with fonts and designs in any image editing app until you get closer and closer to your idea. Once you do, the same person who will work on the pieces can adjust the details. You might even find it a new way to connecting with your creative side! At least it works for me! I wish you the best!

I don't have a design I would implement on my guitar. But I agreed on having a guaranteed winner.
I will keep this project open, but I already started an online training on Inkscape, how to create signatures starting with fonts and beautify them.
I like to thank all of you in participating so far and if someone likes to help me out further, please let me know.

Lot of questions is about fonts to be used for signature. I created an idea I like, but I'm just a design n00b. I used the font Haroopath from dafont.com and edited it using gimp to a possible idea of what style I really like.
I added it to the uploaded files in the project description. Hopefully it helps you, but I could also be limiting creativity. I just want to help out a bit

Added some scribbles in Examples.jpg to the contest to explain a bit what I mean with pointer. Since the ideas I see now, never will be used by me.

So I want to give everyone the best chance to win. So far I have discovered that
    - I like the knob to be more a pointer and probably based on my initials. But it doesn't need to be a formal font, can be more creative.
    - I like the circle backplate as a builder stamp and the other the Anastacia-name-plate (or the other way around). But a split would look deliberate, as there are more types of guitars from this builder...
    - And instead of my plane name, a bold strong custom signature might be an idea. A beutiful example I love is the name Vinny Enright in signature http://www.best-signature.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/E03_6.jpg
But ask me questions here and if you have a specific idea that you want to be more "secret", it can be through chat.

Already withdrawn. It was an interesting idea, only the knob with the text on it was a bit 60ies, outdated and can be bought.
Maybe a bit to much text all 'n all

I like balance in both, so it can be empty or just an thickened edge. Can also be a nice place to put the name of the guitar in a special way and the circle contains the builder stamp, so both have a functional reason.
      does that help?
