Contest Brief

We are VERDINI, a brand operating in the sector of high fashion leather goods, crafting women's handbags and accessories in leather and fabric. We want to create an ORIGINAL logo that represents our company with style and refined ELEGANCE.

We have a preliminary sketch that shows the initial basic idea (please take a look at the attached image): a big letter V harmonized with a female figure glowing in the pose of royalty, like a goddess or an empress. The shape of the letter V is referred to in the crown.

With respect to the reference, the new logo should include the following improvements and features:
- A more ABSTRACT feminine silhouette, with soft and linear though ESSENTIAL facial and body details, being not trivial at the same time (e.g. the individual fingers of the hands shall disappear).
- The female figure to be much more refined and GRACEFUL, not to resemble in any way a cartoon character or a photorealistic image. On the contrary, he must hit for its ICONIC BEAUTY.
- Hair, face, shapes, and anything else can be redesigned as you deem more appropriate, freeing up your creativity.
- The letter V is the most important key of interpretation, also in terms of thickness.
- The letter V shall be well-proportioned so that it can be re-used, even individually, to make metal clasps for the purse (by invoking more precisely, the logo).
- Improved internal decoration within the letter (the temporary idea given in reference was that of positioning small points, to be interchanged by real glitters in the metal version). We willingly accept other solutions that fit such context, with original new ideas.
- Add an outer frame only when truly necessary, if it is functional to the harmony of the image.
- Brighter colors: in particular, the shining parts shall be shade gold, as if the logo had a gold plating.

We welcome any proposal for placement of the signature VERDINI and for font to be used.

The design must be delivered in both a gold-blue two-tone and black-and-white.
