Contest Brief
I am seeking a designer with an artistic eye to design a poster for an independent film.
The movie titled 'The Escort' is a drama about 2 people – a client and an escort who is no damsel in distress - which is set in her apartment.
[The concept of the film is this: A young man tries to convince an escort to leave her line of work but not all is as it seems]
I am open to ideas on how you create it and am here to answer any questions you may have.
I do however ask that the film poster have the following:
An image of two people on a couch - a young woman (twenties, long dark hair) sitting up at one end (on the left), her legs stretched out (perhaps one foot is touching the floor), a playful smile on her face (cheeky but not sexy). On the other the end of the couch is a young man looking down, exasperated, clearly regretting the situation he’s in (you can also try a version where his head is in his hands). His brown jacket is draped over the sofa behind him.
On top of this image is the tagline:
He has 60 minutes to change her life.
But in 60 minutes she will turn his life around.
And below the picture of the couch is the title:
THE ESCORT
With another tagline below: Everyone has a price
And finally below that is the release date: COMING 2017
I will leave it up to you to determine how you can bring this poster to life in the most compelling way and will merely act as a guide but to help with some reference points posters from movies such as Me & Earl & The Dying Girl, The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, Bottle Rocket, and Lars & the Real Girl were all influential to me and reflective of the style and tone of this film.

I'd like to enter this contest but I'm concerned that gabrielmatt is getting special treatment. He's been getting critical information in feedbacks for him that are not provided in the contest brief or clarification board. What the woman is actually wearing in the script, the name and link to the photo of a woman you may be casting, and that you want '2016' to be changed to '2017'.
You even requested a very simple adjustment, then assured, "...although if you decide not to do it now it's okay and we can do it once the winner is announced. :-)". This seems to imply that he has it in the bag.
Furthermore, gabrielmatt has been urging you to declare him the winner, presumably before the contest deadline, and you seemed to oblige by replying that you will give it one more day, instead of saying you will let the contest run its course. Again, you left this information that you will end the contest early, only in your feedback for him. Please reconsider and let the contest run its course.- 8 years ago

In the meantime, here's an update on my portfolio situation, and a sample of my drawing!
I entered a contest that lasted less than a day, and of course, I couldn't finish on time. But this time, I submitted the unfinished sketch, and again asked if I could use it for my portfolio once I finished it.

This was a very interesting contest. analyncochon gave gabrielmatt a run for his money but gabrielmatt did what he had to do to win. I couldn't even finish my entry. hollerme, I hope you have another contest for the movie when the casting is finished.
