**Large system development and implementation.**
* Configured and customized Peoplesoft CRM 8.4 for 80-seat help desk, including developing new functionality, modifying standard workflow, and migrating data from legacy applications.
* Installed and configured Micromuse Netcool to monitor a wide variety of servers and services, including Windows, Solaris, and Linux servers.
* Enhanced and created new routines for a large stock trading and rating system using C, Motif/X Windows, and Sybase on HPUX servers.
* Developed software to transfer billing information between worldwide offices, converting the data as needed between different software packages. Perl/Tk application on Windows used telnet and ftp to Windows and AS/400 servers and SQL Server databases.
* Installed and configured Nagios to monitor Linux and Windows servers.
**Integration of data, functionality, and operation between widely divergent technologies.**
* Developed new software for AS/400 based invoicing system to work with RS/6000 based imaging system in order to print invoices followed by images of required documents.
* Developed Perl software to pull real-time stock quotes from several web-based sources, store quotes and statistical results from analysis with proprietary algorithms in a MySQL database, and interact with participants in a day-trader's IRC channel by listening for commands and responding with further analysis and results.
* Developed software to receive Excel-based timesheets via email, extract pertinent data, perform various calculations including leave time and overtime, and ultimately create files for import into ADP for payroll processing and into Great Plains for billing.
* Developed an automated VB project compile system that retrieves source files from VSS, detemines dependancies and compilation order, adds Rational Robot objects and modifes GUIDs as needed, updates Rational ClearQuest with build and fix information, compiles all VB code, creates detailed reports on all steps and processes, and installs newly compiled objects on test servers.
* Developed software to extract and integrate data from Nortel and Mitel phone systems and from EA and Peoplesoft CRM systems, producing detailed daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics, reports, and graphs showing call volumes, times, and SLA compliance.
**Application development and small projects**
* Developed a custom accounting and scheduling solution using Delphi and MS Access, with GL, AR, AP, order entry, invoicing, and scheduling modules.
* Developed a book inventory application using Perl/Tk and PostgreSQL data.
* Developed customized web-spiders to extract data from over 100 web sites (***NOT** for spam or email purposes!*)
* Created Perl/Tk GUI front-end to payroll data stored in SQL Server databases for use by bookkeeping personnel.
* Developed Tcl/Expect program to query DSL modem for IP address and update DNS server with changes
* Created Perl program to cross-reference variables and subroutines in thousands of RPG III source code files.
* Developed a file spider to search Windows network for files of assorted types (html, dbf, pdf, xls, doc, etc.), parse found files for URLs, test found URLs for 404 or other errors, and report broken links.
