Rachael B.

I am a passionate scientist with over 7 years experience. I have a first class degree in Biomedical science, for which I wrote a dissertation on the effects of statins and ethanol on cancer cell proliferation. I also have a PhD in Gatsroenterology/Cell science, for which I looked at the effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on gastric cell migration. I have since then completed a postdoc looking at the roles of ubiquitylation and sumoylation in the termination of DNA replication, during which I published a research article in Science and a review article in Nucleus. I have a passion for science communication and was actively engaged in public engagement projects during my roles. I am particularly passionate about promoting sciences within primary and secondary education. I am keen to pursue a career in scientific writing and am looking to expand my portfolio for this by assisting in a diverse range of projects.
