Portfolio

This app is a prototype to show how android phones can communicate with Modbus devices. The Modbus device used for this testing was Altivar 312 Variable Speed Driver. Altivar 312 has a RS485 interface. An embedded device was built to convert RS485 data into RS232. This converted RS232 data was used to communicate with android app using a Bluetooth module. This app communicates with this Bluetooth module and it has the ability to continuously poll read requests and write data.

Modbus Reader/Writer Android App

The purpose of this app was to set time and alarm of a device. The device was built with a Bluetooth module and the android phone connects to the device using Bluetooth. This app was a just a prototype. Hence more priority was given the the functionality than the UI.
