**Objective:** To provide service to clients that require Java programming, technical writing, and evolutionary programming skills on a contractual basis.
**Qualifications:**
* Development of sophisticated programs in Java taking advantage of threading, thread pools, collections, and complex data structures, implementing solutions to problems such as the traveling salesman problem (bitonic solution), evolutionary programming of many different varieties, and pattern recognition.

* Provided Java debugging and support for third party applications used by the team. Used Java in stored procedure and web application trials while selecting new technologies for use by the team.
* Maintained and developed extensions for 15 applications, many of these interfacing to Oracle financials using C with embedded SQL (Pro*C). This included such technologies as remote procedure calling and socket programming.
* Developed and deployed web applications using ASP, VB, VBScript and JavaScript. (including a reporting tool, Viewpoint, and a sales and use tax application).
* Developed interfaces from the transportation management system to Oracle and reporting on these interfaces in C and pl/SQL. This included the development of several stored procedures.
* Provided C and Unix support to the rest of the development team.
* Wrote interfaces in C to IBM's Content Manager to track, and automatically import from the bank, paperwork associated with deductions.
* Migrated an 80 Gigabyte database of scanned images from a CD Jukebox to a self contained IBM Content Manager database. This included the development of an application using the Content Manager API to purge selected data from the library server database.
* Managed the development of an interface between a bank and our Market Development Funds application. This involved the coordination of other groups for joint application development to obtain and validate the bank draft feed.

* Provided web development in Visual Basic, VB Script and Javascript for various clients in the St. Louis area.
* Developed custom controls for use in an online recruitment tool in both Visual Basic and C++. This included a specialized grid control that maintained a large set of sorted data efficiently. Contributed to the development of ASP software based on a SQL Server database back end, and a Visual Basic OCX interface.

* Maintained the C++ implementations of the data access object and transaction manager for use by all the graphical applications in the system.

* Developed a COM component to process new business data received as an XML stream.
* Analyzed Java, Visual Age for Java and the WebSphere suite of products for use in new applications. This included developing small applications in Java and investigating the use of Java Servlets and Enterprise Java Beans.
