**WORK EXPERIENCE
**Software Developer (Dec '01 -Present) .
Developed an e-Commerce application for a pharmaceutical company. in C++ middleware. The system interacts with GUI based frontend systems and updates various backend systems. It receives messages in XML and stores the data in a DB2 Database. Coded the business and database interaction modules.
Developed a resume management and search tool using JSP and Servlets. The tool aids the HR department in collecting the resumes and allows for advances searches like Boolean searching, Context based searching, Query based searching, Cache search etc.
Software Developer (Summer 2002)
developed a package to aid the Human Resources Department in Storing Resumes in a database in order to provide intelligent search mechanisms. Other modules developed include payroll and mail management systems for the company(JAVA)
Research Assistant (Mar '02 - Present) .
Worked with a team of 4 members on the Cplant project. The Computational Plant or Cplant is a commodity based supercomputer under development at Sandia National Laboratories. Several resource allocation strategies (spacefilling curves and one dimensional allocation strategies) to achieve processor locality for parallel jobs in Cplant and other supercomputers were simulated and the efficiency of each strategy was evaluated using custom based performance metrics to help in better scheduling of parallel jobs on super computers. Platform (C, UNIX)
Marine Sciences Research Center SUNY StonyBrook .
Worked with a team of two members on a project to visualize the oceanographic data collected by the Long Island Sound and Water Group. climatic conditions of a given area in the sea and the coastal strip were estimated for a given day of the year Using temperature, relative humidity and Pressure conditions over the past few years. Platform (C, UNIX) M/s Ideaspace solutions, India:
Software Engineer (Nov '00-Jun '01) · Developed a Telecomm application for processing the user trouble tracking. Worked on server side the application. Coded the C++ modules interacting with oracle database for all the business processing. Coded the TCP/IP interface between the client and the server applications. Developed the Tag/value pair data exchange between the server and the client side using the TCP/IP socket mechanisim. Platform (C++, UNIx)
Visakhapatnam steel plant, India PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC PROJECTS Secure UDP client Server (C, UNIX) Setting up a Client-Server exchange in a secure way despite the lack of formal connection, so that outsider UDP datagrams (broadcast, multicast, unicast fortuitously or maliciously) cannot intrude on the communication. Introducing application layer protocol reliability and flow control using ARQ Sliding Window mechanisms. Secure Collaborative Communication (JAVA) The basic objective of this project is to create a secure chat server. The server will enable a secure group communication amongst its users implying that messages, files exchanged between the users are encrypted. This project was implemented in Java.
E-mail client application(JAVA/JDBC, DB2) · Apart from the regular features of any e-mail system, special features included utilization of the network idle time for the bulk collection of E-mails, Provisions for secure mail by using private-key encryption algorithm. Search Engine implementation (JAVA/JDBC, DB2) ·
Implemented all the features of a typical search-engine along with the following enhancements Boolean search Advance searches-Category based, Spider based, Catalogue based searches Query based search.
**ACHIEVEMENTS**
