Portfolio

The project consisted on the development of a fully functional desktop application. The project focused not
only in the implementation of the application itself but in the whole development process: Initial idea,
requirement analysis, design, implementation and documentation.
The development methodology used was the waterfall methodology. Its implementation was done using
.NET Framework C# and Windows Forms. C# was selected in order to benefit from its object oriented
structure –favoring the use of interfaces, polymorphism, etc. - and its automatic memory
management. The use of Windows Forms was chosen for the easiness when it comes to jump from design to
implementation -with special mention to event driven behavior.
As mentioned, the final output of the project is an application that allows the users to create and manage
diets, training routines and calendars. Users can add different kind of events to their calendars, including the
training routines and diets defined by the users.
