SENGA is multi-channel gas sensing system comprising set of independent intelligent modules and a docking station for up-to 16-channel configuration, with its prior mission in precision gas sensor characterization and long-term sensor data acquisition. Intelligent SENGA modules come with state-of-the-art power-efficient boosting circuitry, enabling utilization of a wide range of gas sensors with up-to 25V, 10W power requirements at one side, or novel micro-heating elements with power requirements down to 10mW, on the other. Two independent resistance measurement inputs found at each module, which span more than 6 orders of magnitude (100Ω..>100MΩ), can be utilized for single or differential gas concentration measurements, as well as an independent feedback for heater or ambient temperature data.

Beawer PT1 is prototype for compact device enabling precision testing and operation of MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical system) heater devices. It is designed to deliver up-to 5W into a platinum-based microsystem heater, while obtaining information about heating element resistance by 4-wire sensing interface. Beawer involves double DCDC conversion circuitry with 3V..6V inputs, which generates constant internal 3.3V and 5V supplies and variable heater voltage up to 25V. Linear heater current controller enables currents up to 1A with minimal power dissipation due to variable supply voltage. The heater resistance is derived differentially by superposing 25Hz AC current variations into the DC value and measuring the corresponding AC part of heater voltage.

Data Logger is an on-board instrument for small and ultralight aircrafts that records key events during the aircraft flight. It senses static and difference pressure, and converts them into altitude and speed of the aircraft; it also senses 3-axis acceleration, temperature, board power, integrity of encapsulation etc. When defined conditions occur, Data Logger stores the event in a large non-volatile memory with a time stamp to enable later evaluation of the flight profile or eventual mishap. Data Logger is equipped with high-capacity battery for long-term independent operation, and with serial interface for data download and system configuration. Encapsulation of the Data Logger is highly robust to prevent both accidental and deliberate loss of data, with a switch indicating the opening of the case. A PC application for data download and visualization of the flight profile is also provided.
