The electronic water pump will be used more and more widely in the new energy vehicles and other special vehicles. A sensorless electronic water pump for automobile is designed and implemented with the brushless direct current motor (BLDCM) as the driving motor. A sensorless magnetic field oriented control (FOC) scheme using sliding mode observer (SMO) is applied for the motor control.
