At the age of two years old I had a passion for media. I recall hours in front of my TV and VCR. Stop, Rewind. Watching films over and over. As I grew up I began making films at 12, pursuing graphic design at 14, and film analysis at 16. This fervor for the media arts and sciences exists to this day. This love and focus has allowed me to gain large amounts of experience while still an undergrad. My yearning to learn more has fueled me to pursue many educational and professional opportunities in this field. I have done everything from teaching multimedia at a summer camp, to heading research in Wordpress for NPR, to holding multiple film crew positions, to heading publicity for two quidditch organizations. I took the Spring of my junior year to participate in the Movies from Marlboro film intensive where I work closely with professionals to develop a feature independent film. Though my experience is very varied, I believe that I can use it to bring something different than usual to this field. My knowledge of both the creative and scientific sides of the production of media makes me a unique asset in this field. I am able to look at a problem and solve it both creatively and logically. My experience in teaching and leadership positions also has given me great interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage teams.
