Hi, I’m Shivaji, an analyst by profession and knowledge seeker from the heart. Initially, I didn’t have any interest in #Commerce because it was not my first choice to learn. I got interested in #Commerce when I was in +1 (11th) of college. For the last two years, I was studying it as an optional subject, but in +1, I took #Commerce as my major stream. However, after completing my +2, I fell in love with commerce and completed my bachelor's and master's degree as well in #Commerce, including #B.Com, #M.Com, and #MBA. I had also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Operations (PGDIBO). Earlier in my professional career, I was working in Equity and #Capital Market, as an Advisor. There, I was dealing with clients' queries about their equity investment and capital market-related investments; served around 150 clients to meet their financial goals. While doing this, I gained an interest in company valuation and financial statements analysis. So, I wanted to change my job profile, I asked my manager that I want to change my profile, I want to be part of the research team. He told me that you have to complete at least three years here in Advisory to change in the research profile. But I was not ready for that, so I left that job and started looking job in research. Despite having a good knowledge of research and certification in #Financial Modelling and Valuation from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), failed many times in the interview because I don’t have experience in research. However, failures didn’t stop me from experimenting and trying new things. So, in the fifth interview, I got selected in GlobalData, which provides business information and services across various platforms and serves a range of industries, such as consumer, retail, technology, healthcare, and financial services. In less than 2 years, I have worked on around 500 companies across various industries including Retail, Consumer Packed Goods (CPG), Aerospace, Defense, Technology, and Telecommunications. I also work as a Tutor at Chegg India for #Commerce, #Economics, and #Management subjects. I have extensive knowledge of DCF, Project Modelling, FSA&V, Relative Valuation, Competitor Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Company Profiling and others.
