I am an American who has been living and working in Paris for the past four years. I have a BA from UNC Chapel Hill in Linguistics, with minors in Cognitive Science, French, and Speech and Hearing Sciences. I am completing a Masters in Phonetics and Phonology in Paris. I have professional experience as a research assistant at the Carolina Neurodevelopmental Project as well as the Sensory Experiences Project, and in the UNC Linguistics Department. I have also worked as an assistant in a speech therapy clinic. I have worked as an English teacher and tutor throughout my long residence in France, to learners of all ages and levels, and I specialise in accent training. My current work in phonetics makes me uniquely capable of understanding the principles of language and language learning on a deeper level. My level of education qualifies me to handle texts and language lessons on an advanced academic level.
