This project is for a single talented developer, or a small team (2 or 3) supporting each others. This is a serious project, with short timeframes and we will work as a team to make sure it goes smooth.
We have a requirement for a short .NET Web Application and simple Web Service to be written. Both will interface the same database.
Webforms:
The aim is to create two subscription webforms (for two countries). Users from Country 1 will be presented with Form 1, and Users from Country 2 will be presented with Form 2. Both forms will have a number of fields to be captured, and some sections of the forms will be shown/hidden to different types of users. There is about 40-50 fields per form, some being text fields (1/3), other checkboxes (1/3), radio buttons (1/3). Validation will be required onto about 5-10 fields, and 1-2 fields will require validation against an external web service. Both forms will have a "save" and "save and submit" button. Details will be read and saved back to a SQL db.
On top of that, a login form will capture a username and password, and redirect to the appropriate form. Basic messaging will let the user know when they have entered incorrect details. Same as for the webforms, username and password will be checked against a SQL db.
WebService:
A *seperate* web service needs to be created in order for a seperate system to interact with the same data as the above webforms. The webservice will have two methods. 1 - a Create method will allow an external system to push a new user to the database. 2 - a Retrieve method will allow the same external system to retrieve a list of updated/submitted records.
Technologies: .NET Framework v4.0, C#, MSSQL 2008 and has to run on IIS7.0 (Win2008).
Provided to you: Database Schema with sample records, WebService Stub (skeleton), HTML Forms as well as a business requirement document + a technical specification and fields mapping.
Development effort: has been estimated to about 10 days
Deliveries: Prior to the development having started, you will have to provide with a task breakdown of the project. All source code has to be delivered including IP. Code will have to be written in a consistent manner (warning if using multiple programmers) and also all functions, variables and logic documented.
Timeframe: you must be prepared to have a discussion with us before 11th Nov at 5pm GMT+1100. We are generally available between 7am and 9pm (again, GMT+1100) until then. The contract will be awarded on Friday night. You will have two days (Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th) to read the documents and prepare a detailed task breakdown (short description and time estimates).
All code must be developed before Monday 5th December and you must have a senior developer/architect/tech lead to review all work, and submit daily updates via email as well as Monday + Friday skype discussion. All developers will have access to a tracking tool (assembla) where they will see all tasks, their priorities, and will be able to submit a daily update as to what they are working on. All tickets will need a code submission into the source repository, which is GIT.
