I have optimised a few sites for speed in my time. I have a few ideas; First: use a profiler to figure out where that time is being spent. Most browsers have them in their developer tools. Second: use newer technologies and update your software. Using HTTPS + HTTP/2 dramatically speeds up page loading (because the entire page can be sent at once, rather than one element at a time) Third: cache things that can be cached. If the server has to spend a long time generating a page that's basically the same every time, you might as well just cache it and serve that. Also, set as much content to cache in the user's browser as possible. That way, it'll be faster when they come back to the site. Forth: reorder your page so the more important/smaller things load first. Or make some of the elements load asynchronously, so that the whole page doesn't stop loading when it's waiting for a part of it to load. There's many things I didn't mention here, feel free to ask about specifics via messages.
