I have a problem with a free WordPress plugin which the author is not supporting anymore.
The plugin has also been removed the WordPress Plugin Directory so my only access to the code was on an old development website of mine. Therefore I downloaded the plugin code from the wp-plugins directory on that website.
Problem 1. After uploading the plugin (by FTP) and activating on a fresh WordPress website, I suddenly start getting the following message: "There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions". No email seems to be actually generated and this message continues to appear when I subsequently install any other plugins or themes.
2. The plugin itself is to generate dummy articles and despite the above message, it does seem to work. However, despite setting the dummy articles to be generated in a specific category or categories, I notice a number of articles also get created in uncategorized.
I have attached the plugin and the freelancer needs to fix both of these issues then supply me with the fixed plugin.
