Film and edit a documentary about my parents

I'm looking for a videographer to conduct about 4 hours of a videotaped interview time with my mother and father and provide an edited final documentary, approximately 60 to 90 minutes in length. The topic is their life stories. Camera and audio equipment you use should be exceptional, lighting optional. I (son) will compile a series of photographs and unique questions to inspire them to talk about some of their important life moments. 30 to 50 scanned photographs will be provided to edit over the video where appropriate. For example, when an interviewee mentions a parent or sibling or location, the photo(s) of that subject needs to be inserted. I’d like assistance in choosing 3 or 4 separate shots in different locations to give the background some variety, and a dual interview of both my parents in one. you'll need to scout our home for a moment to determine those settings. The final product should be organized in approximate chronological order (Mother’s birth, childhood, teenage years, adulthood. Followed by father’s birth, childhood, teenage years, and adulthood) and should then transition into the dual interview where they will talk about how they met, their experiences raising children, and life philosophies. You’ll have plenty of freedom to decide what you think is attractive and the artistic direction you feel should be taken. The 60-90 minute movie should essentially be the highlighted portions of the 4 hour interview. As far as your artistic style for the film (editing transitions, music, etc.) I’ll leave that up to you. In addition to the 60-90 minute movie, we’d like all the raw footage as well (through a convenient means such as (thumbdrive, Youtube video, dropbox, CD etc.) My budget is $1,500 and is flexible. The job responsibilities can be detailed succinctly: 1. Scout for several attractive interview shots, setup camera and audio equipment, (dining room, living room, etc.) 2. Manage equipment during the 4 hour interview and participate in the interview process as you find necessary to create an attractive final product. 3. Pick out best video clips and organize into approximate chronological order. 4. Add music and transitions between photos/video as you see fit. The budget is flexible. My goal is to stay close to the $1,500 price but I am more interested in creating a high quality documentary. If you have a clear vision on how to achieve a 60-minute documentary interview with occasional photo inserts, I am open to paying a fair price. I look forward to working with you.
