hello, Mr The project you need can be done with an electric circuit without Arduino and gives you a light indicating the level of water in the tank. I advise you if you want to use it permanently. Also It is possible to use arduino and shows you level reading by 7-segment display . I already worked on project like this by using a water sensor and arduino to check the tank is full or not. First I would like to have more information about project purpose, tank size, location and all. If tank size is less then we can use ultrasonic sensor for continuous depth measurement and we can calculate volume after knowing that. If that's it then it needs 1 arduino board, 1 sensor, adaptor, some wires and some accessories. And it all can cost upto maximum 1500 INR. And if your thinking about automatic switching of water tap or pipe then it'll need a actuator which will be for 1000-2000 INR.
