I want to build a deck on my house using light gauge steel framing members. 6x6 wood posts are ok, but the rest of the frame I want to be galvanized roll formed steel to benefit the spans beneath. The Deck will fit in the corner between my livingroom and sunroom, the long side where the primary ledger is attached will be 18'6", the shorter side is 15'6". I want stairs to protrude from the side nearest the sunroom. The key criteria is minimizing posts beneath the deck because we want to have it as wide open as possible. I'm not sure if a flush beam can be used, but that would be ideal.
